Through Germany on day 5+6+7
Arrival in Travemünde on Friday June, 26 at 7:00 am. It’s another 650km in Germany from the “Skandinavienkai”, the ferry harbour in Travemünde all the way down to Ansbach, a 40.000 souls small town, about 50km west of Nuremburg. The main differences to cycling in Sweden are a better quality road surface - less rolling resistance - and better bakery goods along the way. Also more traffic, especially in the north with long stretches on major through roads, it can be a bit of a drag. But one major support could be the wind in our back right away from the coast and due to the flat landscape it might carry us 100 - 150km inlands. On day 5, we should get to Brunsvik or Seesen, around 250-290km.
On day 6, it’s about navigating around a couple of low montain ranges, the Harz, the Hainich, the Rhön and finally Hassberge and Steigerwald. All of those are no alps or anything similar, but have elevations of 500 - 900m. You just don’t want to add on this uphill training, when doing 200+km per day, the downhill parts would be very welcome though.
Let’s see how things play out. If we’re good and the weather’s fine and we see that we’d have another 80km or so to go to the final destaination Ansbach, we just might ride into the night and arrive whenever we arrive. It’s said that after a few days or cycling the training effect sets in and the performance curve goes up again.

Welcome back! For a cycling enthusiastic this looks like a fantastic trip. The fun factor of the trip will eventually be about the weather in general and especially about if you have headwind or tailwind. Good luck and keep posting. It will bee nice to follow your trip (@work) while it happens.
My general advice would be to stay on small roads as much as possible and compromise only when really justified (distance, quality of surface).

Polo Shirts has admittedly and unabashedly reworked traditional British style in his individual eyesight for years, but this knitted hunting jacket may just be the pinnacle of his prowess. The silhouette is defiantly hip, even although preserving the origins from the design. And all those people additional pockets for shotgun shells are just good using the modern factors guys carry.
